APPLESEED Education

On-going education classes in Primary Care Homeopathy.

T. Namaya is offering a course to teach people how to diagnose and treat common ailments using safe and effective homeopathic, herbal, Bach Flower, and self care measures; and when it is important to contact a physician, or when to seek emergency medical care. The lecture series will be entitled "APPLESEED Project- Wholistic Approaches to Common Ailments."

The idea is to teach a small group of parents how to treat common ailments. Then, those individuals will in turn train ten other people. This is based on the model of the "Barefoot Doctors" and "Where There is No Doctor" models. It utilizes the study guide from the National Center of Homeopathy.

Tentatively the course will be presented on 3 Saturdays from 10 am-1 pm. There will be a course outline and other course materials.

Dr. Namaya will teach people how to diagnose and treat common top ailments using safe effective homeopathic, herbal, and self care measures, and as importantly, when to seek professional Medical Care. The lecture series is entitled "APPLESEED Project -- Wholistic Approaches to Common Ailments."

In this initial discussion, offered on 4 April 2009 from 12 noon to 2 pm, Dr. Namaya will offer a discussion about treatment of basic Homeopathy, Herbs, and self care treatments for common illnesses such as: Cold, Fevers, Earaches, Headaches, Sore Throat, and Sinus Conditions.

The goal of APPLESEED is teach a group of parents 10- 15 people how to treat common ailments. Then, those individuals will each train other people. Medical professionals are also welcomed. APPLESEED is based on the model of the "Bare Foot Doctors" and "Where there is no doctor". It will utilize the study guide from the National Center of Homeopathy and Homeopathic Self Care by Ullman and Reichenberg. Attendees are asked to have a copy of Homeopathic Self Care to facilitate discussion.

The course will be presented on 3 Saturdays from 12-2PM in April and May. There will be a course outline and lecture materials. Pre-registration is required.

The goals are:

  • To empower people to be informed HEALTH CARE CONSUMERS.
  • To teach people the wise and judicious use of herbs and homeopathy for common ailments.
  • To know when to seek professional medical advice and when home treatment is appropriate.

Dr. Namaya is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner and holds a doctorate in Homeopathic Medicine. He has lectured widely around the US on the use of homeopathy and wholistic medicine, and the author of numerous articles on wholistic health that have been published in leading magazines.
